Google introduces Social Search

Google has expanded its Social Search networking platform to display results from social networking activity within normal Google search results.

The Social Search results will include information on which contact shared or recommended the link, and Google will prioritise pages that have been shared or recommended by contacts within results.

The links will also include information on which contact shared the page.

Google introduced Social Search as a beta in January 2010, allowing users to view web pages, photos and videos that have been recommended by social networking contacts.
